Organized at Camp Butler, Ill., and mustered in for 1 year September 18, 1864. Assigned to duty in Illinois. Guarding drafted men at Camp Butler. Cos. "B" and "C" at Brighton, Cos. "D" and "E" at Quincy, and Co. "F" at Jacksonville.

Mustered out July 5, 1865.

Regiment lost during service by disease 38.
